What the heck?!? What does the phrase "i can read wikipedia" have to do with a pejorative referring to black people? Definitely something weird going on here.

I have sort of a theory. As you can see when you google it, it marks "canned" as bold, as though it's a searched word. Which it is: canned -> to can. So "can" is the first-person form of the word "canned". Google causes that to search not just for that form but also canned. This is quite a useful feature in google, that it doesn't just search for what you typed but also for what may be related to that.

Now search for "canned read wikipedia". It also shows the "nigger" wikipedia page. Which is obvious: canned is a fairly uncommon word and thus will have a great weight in the search, and it's found in that wikipedia article, together with the word "read". Of course, adding wikipedia gives a lot of weight towards all wikipedia pages.

As proof, google for "i can food wikipedia". Guess what it goes to? The "Canning" article in Wikipedia. Yes, canning food...

The saddest thing is that there are so many theories floating around on the internet. I wondered whether I was the first to come up with this explanation and from what I've seen on google, I am. But I've read some dreadful discussions about what may cause this...
Are people really that stupid?
