Just a guess though.

I'd say the OP thinks that a 'dovetail joint' is a joint made from the tail of a dove.
Nuff said.

Re: Plans For Woodworking

Thing about an ambush is time- you can spend a lot of time hanging around waiting to carry out your ambush- allowing you ample time to create plans for woodworking.

As an aside -or a thread hijack- I am reading "Congo Mercenary" by Mike Hoare, the famous Irish mercenary Col., pretty good read, lots of hijacks and plenty of ambushes !

Re: Plans For Woodworking

Ay, woodworking plans are always good to make. I'm debating if I should put in a hardwood floor myself or if I should just pay the money and have someone else do it.

Pixie and I have settled on a medium shade. Not too dark, but not light either... Something like this...

And ever so slowly, I'm starting to rebuild my tool collection...

Sounds like your doin it yourself!
It's a nice floor you picked, don't show up flaws that easy, but still fairly bright and warm looking. Should look good for a long time.
Handy enough to put down, a tad tedious, but handy.

Re: Plans For Woodworking

Yup, my dad has a flooring gun, but I'm thinking about also gluing the pieces down as well as nailing them.

What do you think Kitz?

Re: Plans For Woodworking

Flooring gun is plenty, you could use glue as well but it's not necessary.
I've known it [ using glue and nails] to be done but I've not done it and never got any call backs or had any known problems. But do have some glue handy for those awkward bits!
Picks or it didn't happen :-)
