Yes - well we all expected that didn't we? What no one suspected was the BULLSHIT amount of money they're suing to get.

Before I continue please look at the inline attachment/graphic above then return to this post........

Ok so the RIAA is suing LimeWire for 75 TRILLION DOLLARS. As you can see from the graphic this is 10 TRILLION DOLLARS *MORE* than the GDP for the whole fucking planet.

Let me state that again, just in case your brain malfunctioned....LimeWire is being sued for 10 trillion dollars *MORE* than will be made by all the countries on the planet combined during 2011!!!

Here is the definition of GDP:

Gross Domestic Product: the measure of an economy adopted by the United States in 1991; the total market values of goods and services produced by workers and capital within a nation's borders during a given period (usually 1 year)So how do you fucking sue for more money than exists on the planet?

These asswipes are UNBELIEVABLE!!

That is comical.
How can the "theft" or "accessory to Theft" or whatever the total is supposed to be based on by the plaintive, be more than the the planet creates.
Thats like saying " you sat in my seat so I now am out of pocket by 20 billion. !"

I think I should move to Spain. In Spain I understand that if its on the internet then its free for the taking. The politics in Spain are really strange but diversity is the spice of life.

The suit has been thrown out by a judge:

A judge has called those estimates "absurd," sighting the fact that the entire music industry, since Edison invented the phonograph, hasn't made that much money.

Why did they not just go for the big one and sue for a gazillion dollars :-)
