Not only is Radiohead putting out a new album on October 10th, they have also said "FUCK YOU" to their recording label and have gone independant. Meaning, they are offering their whole album on their website for basically a donation. I have always thought this band as extremely cool, but they have now put themselves several notches higher in my eyes...

That rocks! I'd actually make a donation for music rather than paying the full price for a shitty cd. Of course it is Radiohead, so the album should be at least 3/4 good. I almost got to see them in Chicago. Kinda happened upon them really, after a show, but as soon as they came out of the building the were swarmed. It was kinda funny to watch actually. Like ethiopians on a few kernels of corn.

God not another Radiohead album!
Like we don't have enough problems in this world, without Radiohead - with their unique blend of wrist-slitting rock, remind us that, yeah, this world is indeed shitty, but they remind us using a blend of monotonous dead-pan dittys, where the BPM ( beats per minute) are ideal for the slashing moments of a razor blade, and the vocal harmonics are pitched to perfectly match the sound of noose being pulled taught.
Having seen the demise of their fanbase ( by a mixture of hanging, and wrist slashing) like any good drug dealer, they offer their product to a whole new generation of kids for free !!!!!
It's all hype! Their on the way out, nobody want's them anymore, we're all done looking at our shoes, thinking of ways to kill ourselves, the world has moved on! Obviously no record company is interested, but they turn that around and say " oh look we are giving our music away for free" , bullshit!!
They can't sell the crap to anybody, that's why their giving it away for free..
Their first album was good, after that ( if you where still alive, you where lucky!) forget it :-)
I have a good mind to download it, burn it to a CD, and bin it just for fun!!
Infact , I am going to do that right now :-)

Heh... Mustaine in the man.
You ever listen to Lamb of God? Very aggressive stuff... I'm going to one of their show in Dallas in December.

Thats cool, but I like to actually understand what the singer is trying to say. Some of the heavy/death metal bands seem to think gargling on razor blades and then singing somehow make the song better...

That point is why I like Lamb of God the lyrics actually have some meaning. Most metal has TERRIBLE lyrics, Black Label Society I'm looking at you.

Yup, I was right!
Heard a couple of tracks from the new Radiohead album, God it was soooo depressing :-)
I needed a couple of pints of Guinness, and some loud happy music to sort me out, I was nearly gone at one stage, lucky there was no rope, or sharp implements in the room at the time......
A lucky escape for me, I fear for others :-)
