pop open another thread.
but does anybody know of any good system monitoring programs?
(windows) i just want to keep an eye on my system while doin whatever so it cant really be a full screen one. :)

Back to the question ....
Don't use Windows enough to bother with any system monitoring , however Windows does have it's own system monitoring that will do for most purposes, id start there first.
After that I'm clueless :-)

yea i just need one that kinda sits in the corner of the screen and tells you temps and whatnot the windows one cant do that. :(

A combination of SpeedFan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) and Yahoo Widgets (http://widgets.yahoo.com/) should do the trick.

The humor is derived from the adjective you used to describe the subject. You were talking about a fan (or at least a fan controlling app) and you used the word "cool". Fans are of course known for cooling things down while the word "cool" can both mean "of low temperature" and "hip or groovy".
As it was just a drive-by comment, the humor has since left the building.
