Ok.. just throwing this in to see what reaction comes back.
Perhaps this is a little early in the opening stages of the new place but it could be put on hold for Phase 2 or something I guess.
So we have this little place we call home. D.org
We know its not a big buzzing place and while we always like new company its actually nice to know the people we chat with.
So how about we add some value for ourselves and even others to this place.
I'm thinking in terms of data collection, blog, mini website, and such.
My vain is hacker like or cracker or modder or whatever.
Perhaps you have another angle .. GMW for example would be all about radios!! right !!
The Kat man would of course be building a kick ass arcade machine and then have Kats living in it.
MrsMo would be collecting the more humorous articles she finds, some instructions on how to kill scorpions and a pic of the Christmas dinner no one could eat because it was too hot in Arizona. While D would probably just have pics of guns and servers, perhaps just guns and blown up servers with a few links to sites with more exploded things he wants to find again but also to share.
Almost a mini in house blog of some sort on the site for us to use.
I might throw up a link to some Life Hacker article and then the pics of what a mess I made of my go at it. Not just a thread but an easily referable page. Perhaps a choice to make it visible to the world or not would have to be there
Or I would use it as a place to keep the links to pages I want to use for rooting an android phone when I get round to it. Or perhaps the full instructions. Either way you guys get to use it too if its what you are looking for!
In my head at least we can edit these posts, comment on others stuff and suggest whatever. Perhaps the comments feed into the main threads so things are kept interactive.
I dont know if this new home of ours can do all that, or even part of it! I'm supposed to be studying lol.
I just think of people like Duder and Taffee and Radical Ed and Network7 and .... I would like if people had one more good reason to come back to a place they might call home in some way.
Can you imagen what someone like Radical Ed would make of an in house private page type thing. Its just lucky this place is not exactly public as in Google public. lol
Anyway. Any ideas of possibility!!? or feasibility!? Something that allows a value development on the part of the members. something that gives us more reason to have the page open all day. Not a tweeter thing though.. please.. Not that.
