The is for Daremo really but some else might know. Is there a way I can view a low graphics/ text only version of this site? I often visit from my pocket PC and pages take quite a while to load.

Maybe there's a plugin for vBulletin you could erm, plugin! It would be much appreciated if it's a quick job but you know, don't put yourself out or anything! Just giving you some feedback.

Muchas gracias.

Is this an option in opera or a feature of the site I've failed to spot?

In Opera...I use it to reduce my phone bill as I pay by the Megabyte

Yeah well I live in Dublin, and I have the same problem as GMW, and I do have braodband !
The PDA load's real slow, that's the problem, and the page width is to wide so your scrolling sideway's and up and down, it's a royal fuck up :-)

The BBC news site is great with the PDA , but that's it.

See , I like to sit on the loo in the morning and surf on the PDA :-)
So it would be awesome if there was a PDA version of D.org, Rikku's comment's about Radical Ed would speed up my bowel movement's no end !!
Also it would be handy while out warwalking :-)

Update : I just found that Opera do a PDA browser, works pretty good, this site load's real quick , no scrolling back and forth!
Life is good ! Oh, it's a 45 day trial version, I guess they want money or something :-)

I did'nt have to much time to check it out but, it's a 45 day trial version, however you can't buy it ?
I guess it's because it's a beta version, it's not for sale....
So I assume you just reinstall it ???

I will give Radical Ed a shout and see what's what :-)

You're right Kitz, the scrolling around is a nightmare even in landscape mode. I often surf in bed at night with my bluetooth keyboard. I can now type wihout using the puny on-screen keyboard which is a big improvement.
The BBC site is great but then it's fully optimised for PDA. The GMW Radio (http://radio.gowmoreweed.com/) forums display quite well on a PDA. Just how the tables are layed out I guess.
I'll give opera a try but the 45 day limit sounds like a pain but like you say, it's only a beta at the mo and things should improve with time.

So now we have an admission -- Rikku really IS Radical Ed. No wonder you rant and rave about him so much. What better way to make folks think it wasn't you.

Sort of Clark Kent and Superman, eh? Can you have one of your personas wear glasses? That would complete the disguise.

Rikku's split personality aside for a moment, I'm writing this in opera on PPC. Pages certainly load faster and no more side to side scrolling to read posts! Fantastic. Thanks for the tip Kitz.

I'll have to use it for a while and see how I get on. One thing I noticed is the lack of word completion. Not that it gets the words right all that often! Another quirk - when you click on a text box, the keyboard is not automatically displayed, resulting in an extra click before you type. But hey, with all the time I'm saving, what's an extra click!

Hey, I suggested Opera in the first place thankyou very much! :p

Indeed you did. Thanks to you too Rikku.

One gripe I do have with Opera on PPC is that you cannot choose where to install it, it auto installs to the main memory. I install all apps to my CF card where possible and losing 6MB to a 45 day trial is annoying!
