so this was emailed to me by an academic mate of mine, so what do you think? Have certian groups of Americans gone insane?

This was passed on to me by an Asian-Canadian scholar working in the
U.S. (MAB):

Friends,

Recently Asian-American businesses in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
received threats of violence against their persons and their
businesses. The white supremacist Aryan Nations claimed
responsibility.

Please show your solidarity and support by signing the following
online petition requesting that Mayor Street of Philadelphia,
Governor Rendell of Pennsylvania, and Executive Director Kao of the
Pennsylvania Governor's Commission on Asian American Affairs act
swiftly in regards to investigating these matters.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration,

Sincerely,

Jun Zuniga.

Yes, certain groups of Americans HAVE gone crazy. However, this is not limited to Americans only. Sadly, there are hate groups in every society that do not represent the views of the majority. Society has to present a united front to these groups that tells them that they can not have it their way.

in total agreement with you there!

one thing i find odd, is when bigoted minority groups like this threaten to rape the women.... if they hate a race, how can they justify a want to do that? it simply demonstrates the hipocracy that an irrational hate creates.

Like MrsMo said it's about power and domination. I doubt the act would resemble anything like intimacy. It was unfortunately common amongst the Black and Chinese women during the 19th century in America. What better way to show dominion than to take something that should only be given?

It's about power, domination, but also humiliation.
It's pretty much the ultimate act of humiliation you can inflict on someone.

You know I never really got the rape thing, why would you, as an oppressor, want to convey the image of a horney evil little dog? I mean you know your image in the media and the world will look like crap, why add to it with those statments and actions?
