A teen was arrested for knocking on the window of a Brinks Truck in an attempt to apply for a job. The young man thought he would show some initiative and try to find out information about a job he was applying for with the Brinks company; who better to ask than someone already working for the company.
The Brinks driver was frightened (ok, they do carry a lot of money and they are a potential target for robbers) and called the police. When the police arrived, they hauled the young man off to jail and held him there for a few hours on suspicion of burglary, despite the young man having a good reason for knocking on the window, having no weapon or anything to threaten the driver with and was actually carrying the application form for the Brinks company.
On a brighter note, the city gave the young man an application for a job with the city's street department.
