Kitz E Kat

So my iPod nano is all but dead: the battery ain't holding a charge for any length of time now, so I went out and bought a new iPod shuffle.
Have to say it's great! It's just two gigs but that's fine for what I use if for: it's my 'walking' iPod. I have a 'truck' iPod-an old 30 gig one- and a 4 gig Zune, that is actually a nice little bit of kit. So anyway this new one is working out just fine.
That was about two weeks ago, about a week later I get an email from Apple, the gist of which is that my old -first gen- iPod nano has a dodgy battery that as it gets older runs the risk of over heating and going on fire! STOP USING IT NOW! Apply for a exchange and we'll sort you !
So now there is a box on the way from Apple to take my old as good as dead iPod back and fix it up or replace or whatever they do and I get it back with a 3 month guarantee to boot :-)
Love stuff like that !
Long live my dead iPod ...
