This is right up Rikku's street! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2051950/Obsessed-mathematicians-spend-year-calculating-trillionth-digit-Pi-5-way.html
One very tasty looking box, I could live without the utility bills to run it.

I can sympathize with their problem about the heat generated. There are 4 fans working their little hearts out trying to keep this one room livable.

So what kinda temps are you getting there at this time of year ?

Chilly 'n wet here. Although not too cold, considering getting the bbq out if the rain stops.

How's you Kitz? Keeping your paws dry in the floods I hope. Looked bad on the news.

Yeah, it was crazy alright. To be honest the biggest net effect on me is that my local M&S is closed for as long as it takes to put it back together again. Bummer!
I have an unhealthy love of their salt and vinegar chiplets, amongst other tasty treats! Grabbed some in a city centre store while I was there, so am OK for a bit.

Over the course of of a week, our daytime temps dropped from over 100 (38c) to the 80's (27c) and nighttime temps are getting down into the 50's (10c) and 60's (16c); it's been a huge difference and I love it but the room with the computers still stays warm. I did get to turn off the two smallest fans :-)

I have no idea how you live in that! 25 is nice, and we get that the odd time here, and more and we would all melt :-)

I'm getting acclimated. I actually walked outside one evening and said, "Oh, this is NICE!" Only to find out that the temperature was hovering around 90 (32c). The low humidity really does help but I mostly stay inside while the sun is up during the summer. Now that it's fall, heading into winter, I can be outside whenever.

I presume then that the fall is the best time of year to live there? You can get out and about in some comfort. It's a sunny Sunday here :-)

It will be nice from now until late next June when the temperatures once again climb so high. Even then, once the sun goes down I like sitting on the patio with a glass of wine and doing some star gazing.
